Whether you’ve attended church your whole life or never stepped foot in one before, we know it’s not easy visiting a church for the first time. You’re not quite sure what to expect. You probably have a lot of questions. What does a weekend service look like? How should I dress?  How long does it last? What about my kids?

Great questions! Here’s some information that should help:

How Should I Dress?

We want you to feel comfortable. After all, we are thrilled that you’re joining us and we want you to be more focused on who you’re worshiping than what you’re wearing. Nevertheless, usually the only person in a tie will be Pastor Bob (and the deacons when we celebrate the Lord’s Supper)! The norm is business casual, blue jeans, even shorts and sandals. Trust us: you’ll fit in.

What’s a Typical Service Like?

Services are just over one hour in length with twenty-five minutes of praise and prayer and about 40 minutes of preaching. A.J. and the band will lead the time of worship that includes singing Christ-Centered songs, reading of the Scripture, prayer, and giving of our financial resources (guests are not expected to give). Our music is a blend of old and new and we use piano, guitars, drums, and ensemble singers . We aim to sing songs that turn us towards God, are full of theological truth, and exalt Jesus Christ.

After preparing our hearts and minds through singing and prayer, Pastor Bob is responsible for the preaching of the Bible. Our pattern is  teaching through a book of the Bible from beginning to end by examining the original meaning of the text and how it applies in our lives today.

At the conclusion of our time together, we encourage individuals to stick around, enjoy conversation and a cup of coffee in our bookstore.

What’s Available for My Kids?

Families are encouraged to worship together for the first half of the service. Children K-4th will then be dismissed to the Kids Service right before the message. A Nursery is available for both Bible Study hour and Worship Service.

We also offer a Sunday night program for children during the school year called Kids club at 5:00pm.
